We had a great spring break at Great Wolf. Ryan got to meet Oliver and introduce him to his stuffed Oliver.
The boys had a blast in the water park.
We had lots of friends from State College to play bingo with in the lobby and enjoy the dance party.
The boys had fun at the breakfast buffet in the morning inside the tent table.
Ryan was very excited to add Sammy the Squirrel to his collection. A new friend for Oliver.
They all love the large family hot tub! We made several stops throughout the day. Even more fun with friends from home.
The boys loved racing down the slides together. They were so much more independent this year. They ran around the watermark on their own with friends.
Ryan was looking forward to mastering the water lilies this year. He talked about it the whole drive to Great Wolf. He worked really hard to make it across without falling in the water. Once he was able to make it across he didn't want to stop. We think he ran across the water lilies at least 100 times over the three days we were there. He was addicted and very proud of himself.
Ryan's only fear at the park was the "toilet bowl" slide. He really did not want to do it. So Paul, being such great dad, told Ryan he was taking him on the "yellow" slide (not technically lying) and took him down the "toilet bowl". Above is Ryan excited to ride with Daddy.
There they are in the "toilet bowl"! Paul said Ryan started screaming as soon as they got into the bowl part. He was furious.
Ryan was in tears at the end of the slide and not at all happy with Daddy! Later that night he told us he wasn't really afraid at all, but that he didn't want to do it again.
David got a MagiQuest wand to play the adventure and find gems. There are about a dozen adventures and you earn gems with each one. The game is designed to last over several trips. David listened intently to all the clues and we spent a lot of time walking up and down the stairs and all over the lodge to find the clues.
They both loved the mini bowling alley. The balls were small enough for them to hold.
