Trick of Treating

David and his friend Riley went trick or treating tonight. David was a little shy at first, but then warmed up once he figured out how much fun it is to get candy. Riley and David walked down the sidewalk holding hands! They were so cute. They took a couple breaks to hug the trees and check out the flower beds. David was so upset when they got back home. He wanted to keep going door to door for candy.

Riley's dad and Paul both dressed up as Bumblebees.

Pumpkin Carving

David and Paul dressed up for the Halloween lunch at Paul's work. David can say Bumblebee and Buzz now.

David came in 3rd place in the Tiny Tots division at the Hallween parade. He displayed a lot of curiousity in front of the judges by running around the football stadium like a crazy little monkey. He was just like Curious George! We had so much fun watching him run around and laugh. We walked through downtown in the parade with his friends Cara, Emma and Riley.

On Monday we went to a Halloween party at Emma's house. David was not as excited about his costume as his friends. He really didn't want his picture taken.

He's had such a fun Halloween already and we haven't even gone trick or treating yet!

Raking Leaves

David and Pappy Dave had a lot of leaves to rake tonight. David joined right in with his rake to help. He loved throwing the leaves into the pile and carrying the rake around the yard.

2nd Birthday!

David had such a wonderful 2nd Birthday! The day started bright and early at 7 a.m. with a cream filled chocolate iced donut. David loved it. He immediately wanted to jump in his trampoline and drive around the house in his new car.
Grammy Jill, Poppy Dave, Nana Sharon, Pappy Dave, Aunt Shelby, Uncle Bob and Cousins Kelsey and Kaitlyn were all part of the celebration. David loved opening gifts. He let Kelsey and his friend Riley help pull the wrapping paper off.
He got dressed up in his Curious George costume to blow out the candle on his Curious George cake. By 7 p.m. the little guy was exhausted and fell asleep dreaming about Thomas the Tank Engine and jumping in his trampoline. What a happy day!

Cookie Maker

David made sugar cookies for his birthday party today. His favorite part is spreading the flour out on the counter. He's very good about getting it all over the counter, . . . and himself, and the cabinets, and the chair, and the floor. . . He also had a great time using the rolling pin and then cleaning up the dishes once we were done.

David and Cara

David and his friend Cara enjoyed a morning together before Kindermusik this week. They really enjoy playing together. Cara pushed David on his swing and they shared the pop up toy. I sat them on the couch and handed them their shoes and told them to go ahead and put them on. They both looked at me like I was crazy. David thought it was fun to have Cara in the car with us for our ride to Kindermusik.

Seven Springs

We went to Seven Springs in October to celebrate Pappy Dave's 60th Birthday. David was such a big boy! He rode the chairlift to the top of the mountain and came down on the Alpine Slide with Paul. He loved it! Big smiles the whole way down.

Fall Fun!

David has been having so much fun this month picking pumpkins. We've been to JB tree farm, Way Fruit Farm and Harner Farms to enjoy pumpkin season. He took a trip on a hayride with Paul at JB tree farm and waved and smiled so big when he saw me waiting for them at the end. He was too cute. He walked through a real pumpkin patch at Way Fruit Farm and enjoyed picking up the little pumpkins and throwing them. He kept saying his favorite word as he picked them up - "ball". At Harner farms he liked watching the chickens jump when he kicked the fence around them. He thought it was hysterical.
