Trick or Treating

Trick or Treat night was cold and rainy, but the boys didn't mind.  Ryan dressed up as a Jedi and David dressed up as Darth Maul.  I could barely get a picture of them at the front door.

Ryan took off running for the neighbor's house.
He came back to Trick of Treat at our house with the neighbors.

They made it around the whole neighborhood.  They had some fun making trades.

Pumpkin Carvers

The boys and I carved their pumpkins after school.  Ryan wanted a Frankenstein/Mean Guy/Scary Monster design on his and David wanted a Vampire. After we were done Ryan wanted to become a pumkin.  He's a nut!

David's Fall Soccer U7

David had a great U7 Fall Soccer season.  His friend's dad coached the team.  Paul did not coach David's team this season.  David was giving Paul too many "suggestions" during the spring season.  David loved his coach and was a very good listener.  The team appreciated his running skills.  David was proud to be "super fast" on the field.

David's Birthday PSU Football Game

David's Birthday was the same day at the PSU vs Ohio State football game.  We celebrated at our tailgate with a Birthday Cookie cake.

We were lucky enough to have a visit from Uncle Bob during our tailgate.  The boys love seeing Uncle Bob in his trooper uniform.

David was a little sad Penn State lost the game.  He takes their losses pretty seriously.  We tried to explain to him how great the team was doing this year and that settled him down.

Nana Sharon and Pappy Dave stopped by the house after the game to give David his present.  David loved his new scooter.

David's Birthday Hibachi Dinner

We let the boys choose their birthday dinner.  David asked to go the the Hibachi restaurant for his birthday.  We went on the day before his actual birthday because we were going to the PSU game on Saturday night.  Both boys loved their dinner.  David picked steak for his dinner.

Haunted Maze & Pumpkin Patch

We went to Harner Farm for the Hayride to the Pumpking Patch and Corn Maze after school.  We took our neighbors, Michael and Joseph with us.  The boys were so funny on the hayride.  Lots of giggling.
They each picked out a pumpkin.  They were all still very happy.
Then we started the Corn Maze. . . . Ryan was not happy.  We have done this maze for the past 2 years.  It is the same every year.  I'm really hoping he loses his fear because it is lots of fun.  He tolerated the trip because the other boys were really excited to do it.

Ryan made it through the "Bath of Blood" and the "Alien", but then he totally last it when he saw a "Warning Zombies Ahead" sign.  He was terrified.  We headed out of the maze and back to the pumpkin patch.

David's Birthday with Grammy Jill

Grammy Jill came back to our house after our trip to Seven Springs.  David was thrilled to celebrate his birthday a little early and open his gift from her.  He was so happy to receive a monster lego.  Very happy almost seven year old.

Octoberfest at Seven Springs

We had a great weekend at Seven Springs in October.  We stayed in the same condo we did last year.
The kids love riding the shuttle.  They like to sit in the back all together.

Lots of cousin bonding around the ipads playing games and watching movies.

Yummy Octoberfest buffet.  Ryan loved the mashed potatoes and David loved bread.

We all loved the desserts!

After dinner we relaxed at the condo and worked on a craft.  (Oops, did I say relaxed?  I meant we stressed out about the gazillion foam pieces to the kid's haunted house craft sets.  Foam was everywhere!!!)
The Haunted Housed turned out adorable.  Very happy cousins.

Saturday night we took the kids to the indoor pool.  The danced in the water  and took turns pushing David into the pool.

Lots of fun on the Alpine slide.  This is be Ryan's last year of riding with us.

Ryan's Fall Soccer U5

Ryan's U5 Fall soccer team was so sweet.  He was thrilled to have Paul as his coach.  He learned how to dribble the ball really well.  His favorite game was "Cookie Monster" - the kids had to dribble the ball to keep the "Cookie Monsters" (coaches) from getting their balls.
