Wakeup Call

This was how David woke Ryan up from his nap today. David woke up from his nap and went right into Ryan's room, climbed in the crib and started jumping. It didn't take me long to grab the camera and run upstairs to catch Ryan screaming and David jumping and laughing.
David told Ryan he was sorry and gave him a kiss. After a cooling off period Ryan was happy with David and decided it was fun to bounce around in the crib.

BOYS BEHAVING BADLY

We stopped by the indoor playground this morning after swim class. We haven't gone in a while because it's been really loud and chaotic on previous visits. This morning David contributed to the noise and the chaos! He was nuts. His friend from preschool, AJ, was there with his older brother. The three of them were non-stop chaos and noise for the hour we were there. I kept apologizing for my hoodlum child each time the three of them ran, knocked another kid down or just generally appeared completely out of control (most of the hour).
Here's a moment of peace between AJ and David. It lasted a good 30 seconds. You can almost see a smirk of mischieviousness on David's face.
Ryan was a perfect angel, of course. He stayed with me and had fun on the baby toys. Watching AJ And his older brother gave me a look into the future for David and Ryan. We may have to invest in some padded walls for our house!

Winter Wednesdays

Ryan and I have participated in Winter Wednesdays all through the month of January and February. After we drop David off at preschool we go to this indoor kids event at a local church. This weeks theme was beach day. They had a table full of moon sand. Ryan was obsessed with it. He stood there for almost an hour. He also has some fun putting fish stickers on this submarine.

Tumblebus

The Tumblebus made a stop at a friend's house on Tuesday afternoon. I took David out to tumble for an hour. He climbed the rock wall and bounced on the trampeline. It was a great afternoon activity.

Silly Kids

I watched Riley and Michael on Sunday night while everyone went to our neighborhood association meeting. The kids were in a really silly mood. Riley and David fell over backwards on these chairs at least a dozen times. They were laughing like crazy. Everytime I pulled the chairs up and asked them to sit still and they would turn around and look at me and then burst into laughter as they fell backwards! I kept laughing too. After they were done being silly on the chairs they went fishing for colors. This was a lot of fun for about 20 minutes and then the fishing rods turned into horses and they rode them all over the house yelling "Giddy-up!".
Ryan and Michael hung out at the tool bench. They had a lot of fun pulling all the tools off. The hammer won out as the favorite tool. Thank goodness we have 2 hammers.
Ryan and Michael preferred playing with the trains to fishing. They really entertained each other at the table.

Barbershop

David got his 1st Barbershop haircut this morning! He was so excited. Paul has been talking to him about it all week. He did great on the chair. He told me later "I just closed my eyes when I got scared Mommy." His eyes were closed for most of the haircut. He was very excited to show me his hair after he was done. It was even more fun because Paul was getting his hair cut right beside David.

Woody's House

This has been a week of no naps for David. So each afternoon, while Ryan naps, we have some Ryan-free time to play. This afternoon David pulled out his Toy Story characters and built a house for Woody. He was so proud of it. He really wanted to show it to Paul, but Ryan tore it apart as soon as he woke up! We built it again tonight after Ryan went to bed. :-)
He was really concentrating on where the characters would go in the house. He always sticks his tongue out when he's in full concentration mode.

Rub a Dub Dub

We put a lot too much bubble bath in the tub last night. Bubbles were everywhere. The whole bathroom took a bubble bath. David and Ryan thought it was hysterical. At least they were clean.

Spikes Fest Baseball

We went to the Spikes Baseball Fest this morning. David got to jump in the bounce house and practice his throwning skills. Ryan was very excited to get his face painted.
I think the best part of the morning was running around the indoor track and jumping on the mats inside the indoor sports complex. Here's Paul throwing the boys over the mats. Ryan was having a blast being tossed into the air.

Valentine's Fun Night

David's friend Riley came over tonight to play. David was so excited for her visit. He had so much planned for them to do. Here there are painting with the dot paints. The played Whack a Mole, Candyland and Candyland Shape Match Game. David loved playing with someone other than me and Paul.
Riley was really sweet. After David lost the first game she made sure that he got to win the second game! :-) They were taking turns she said.
Here's Mr. Mischief feeding Twix his cheerios snack! This is his "I'm too cute to be mad at" face.

Valentine's Day

David and Ryan got dressed up for Valentine's day this morning. This is the before picture. David had a party at preschool and brought home a bag bursting with chocolate and candy. They're running around the house right now full of chocolate and candy. I doubt I will be able to catch them for an after picture! Just imagine them both with chocolate covered faces and big smiles!

Soccer!

David and Paul are taking a Start Smart Soccer class on Friday evenings for 6 weeks. The class is for 3-5 yr olds to learn basic soccer skills and have fun for the 45 minutes. David has loved it. I took Ryan to watch this past Friday. David was very excited to show off his new soccer skills.
