Ryan didn't know what to make of the ducks. He kept his eyes on them.

Here are Conner, David and Kelsey on the same bench almost exactly 2 years ago in June of 2006.
We went out to Way Fruit Farm this morning and picked 3 pounds of strawberries! David had his own little bucket and started out by taste testing the berries. He was with his 2 friends, Cara and Anna. All 3 kids had mouths full of berries.
David helped clean the strawberries when we got home and make a strawberry pie. We used almost all of the berries already. We'll have to go again this weekend with Paul and get some more.

After the animals were done with their swim we decided that they must be dirty, so we filled the table with soapy water and David gave them all a bath. He used the wash cloth to clean them all and dried them all with a towel before returning them to his sandbox. (I didn't explain to him that they will get much dirtier in the sandbox.)
Ryan didn't get to participate much with the safari animals, but he was a happy guy sitting in the baby swing of the swingset.
We bought so many toys for the beach, but their favorite thing to play with seemed to be the concrete bucket that Paul brought. They both wanted to be in it.
David played himself out each day and then he would crash around 2 p.m. This day he fell asleep on Paul and then slept on the blanket with Ryan.
David and Ryan had their 1st bath together while we were on vacation. David was very excited to have his brother in the tub with him.

Ryan was a great beach baby. He took 2 naps each day on the beach. Paul wasn't too happy about this pink chair, but Ryan didn't seem to mind the hand me down from Kaitlyn.
Last year we dug big holes on the beach. This year we built mountains of sand for the kids to slide down and jump on. They each had their own shovel to help.

After the rain stopped we ventured out again to ride some of the kiddie rides at the park. We got the kids on 3 rides and it started raining again. So, we probably spent more time in Shelby's car than we did at the park, but I think the kids had just as much fun in the car.

David really is a new little boy! Last year we spent the whole summer sitting on the steps playing. He had no interest in getting in the pool, just running around on the steps and playing with his toys. This year he ran right to the edge and wanted to jump into our arms right away.
