Life Flight Helicopter & Airport Fire Truck Tour

 Ryan and I went on a tour of the airport this morning.  We got to watch the Life Flight helicopter take off and then learn about the airport fire truck.

 We were supposed to get to look inside the helicopter, but right before the tour was to start they got a call that an ambulance was on the way.  The kids all moved back and waited while the patient was loaded and then we got to watch it take off for the hospital.

 The airport fire truck was very cool.  We learned about why it's bright green instead of red (so it can easily be seen in all terrain).  We also learned that it has much much larger tires so it can travel over large hills and rough terrain.

Spring Soccer 2012

 Spring soccer has come to an end.  This was David's 4th time playing soccer with Centre Soccer and Paul's 4th time coaching.  Paul's love of the game has rubbed off on David.  This coming fall Paul will be coaching Ryan's 1st soccer team.  It's definitely time.  David has gotten very attached to the coaching calls.  This spring he has been heard questioning which players Paul pulls onto the field "We're not going to score with that line up!"  "Those two shouldn't be in together!"  David has been sent to the sidelines multiple times for his coaching suggestions.  :-)  Time for a non-Daddy coach.

 Ryan's favorite part of David's soccer games is when we're in charge of snack and he gets to hand it out to all the players.  Here's Ryan passing out popsicles.

Memorial Day Weekend

 We went to the YMCA outdoor pool by Grammy Jill's house over the weekend.  They had a big kiddie pool that the boys both loved.  Ryan especially loved running under the fountain.

David had fun on the slides and the diving board. 

Horsing Around

 Jill took us to a friend's house over the weekend to let the boys ride her horses.  The boys learned how to brush Trippy and get her ready to go for a ride.  Trippy was a beautiful horse and very good with the boys.  They loved riding the horse.

Devon Horse Show

We had two beautiful nights at the Devon Horse Show this year.

The boys enjoyed watching the jumping for a while, but then wanted to go find candy and the fishing game.  Everyone is a winner at the fishing game.

Tiny Dancers

 Kaitlyn and Kelsey had their dance recitals this weekend.  We watched Kaitlyn on Friday night and Kelsey on Saturday night.  The girls have learned so much this year at their dance classes.  Kaitlyn looked adorable in her ballerina costume.

Trail Riders

We went on our first bike ride of the year on Rails to Trails with David on his 2 wheel bike (no training wheels) and Ryan on the Trail a Bike.  The boys did great.  We let David lead the way and tell us when he needed a break.  He was able to ride  6 1/2 miles on the trail.  Ryan did great on the Trail a Bike.  He was so excited to be on the trail.  Both boys fell asleep in the car on the drive home.  

We stopped for 4-5 breaks along the way.  The boys drank lots of water.

Moms are Magnificent Breakfast

 Ryan invited me to the Mom's are Magnificent Breakfast at his preschool.  He said it would be okay for his brother to come too.  He drew a picture of me and wrote that I was magnificent because I play Legos with him.

 All of the preschoolers stood together and sang a song about Mother's Day.

Preschool Field Trip

Ryan's class took a field trip this week.  We walked to the Discovery Science Museum.

 The boys loved the flight simulator.

 Ryan laughed a lot with his friend Erin.  They were really cute together racing the marbles.

 After we got back to school the kids ended the day with lunch bunch and time outside on the playground.

Backyard Boys

The boys have a great group of boys to play with in our neighborhood.  They show up at our back door, garage door and front door asking the boys to come out and play.  It's fun to watch them play and listen to their conversations.  They all play really well together.  

Dancers

 The boys were so excited to go dancing at the Bavarian Club.  They love the live band.  They were on the dance floor as soon as the band started playing.  Daddy added some fun on the dance floor.
