Memorial Day

Monday we had a picnic at Grammy Jill's house. The boys got to play with Nathan and Joseph from next door. They're all so close in age. They played together all day. They loved the squirt bottles Aunt Gloria brought and the misting fan.

Hibachi Fun & A Little Scary

Sunday night we took the boys to a Hibachi restaurant. David thought it was very cool. He liked the onion fire volcano and the shrimp being tossed in his mouth (and Paul & Grammy Jill). Ryan had opposite feelings about the whole thing. He was scared of the fire and did not like it at all. He liked the chicken and steak though.

Devon Horse Show

The boys had fun at the Devon Horse Show over Memorial Day weekend. Their favorite part is fishing at the carnival and walking around the stalls to look at the horses.
They thought this horse had an Easter Bunny Ear hat on it's head. Ryan thought it was dressed up for Easter. Grammy Jill explained it was to keep flies away from it's ears.
They also LOVE the candy store! Blue candy was a favorite this year.

Class of 2024

We visited David's elementary school this morning for the Kindergarten Open House. David told me his stomach hurt on the drive there and that he was nervous. When we got there he held onto Paul and my hands very tightly. We visited three classrooms. By the third room he had warmed up and had no problem following the Kindergartener assigned to be our "tourguide" and roaming around the room without us. It was really cute. All three of our tourguides said their favorite part of Kindergarten is recess and playing with legos! :-)

Young Artists

The preschool hosted a Young Artists Show last night. The boys each had works of art on display and art books they made in class. Ryan was very proud of his artwork and books. He walked right over to his class display and said to Paul "Sit Down!" and then showed us his stuff.
David felt the same way. He was very excited to show off his artwork and books.

Heidi Lynne Photos

The boy's preschool had a Heidi Lynne photography fundraiser and she shared some of the low resolution photos with me and gave me permission to post them. I love her photographs of the boys!

Volunteer Morning with David

I volunteered in David's class on Wednesday morning for 30 minutes. I was responsible for a "learning center" involving cutting, glueing and matching numbers. I had to make sure all 16 kids completed the task within the 30 minutes. I give those teachers a ton of credit. I was stressed out trying to figure out who needed to get to my table and trying to get the kids to finish the center before time ran out.
After they were done with all their learning centers they played with puppets. It sounded like a zoo in there with all the animal puppets. I left the room completely exhausted after my 30 minutes were up.
