Potty Training is EXHAUSTING!

DAY 1 of Potty Training (no worries, there will not be daily updates!) Today Ryan sat on the potty watching the Wiggles until he fell asleep. Poor guy, woke up, went outside to play with playdoh and immediately had an accident. He was really upset with himself. Poor little man. I'm thrilled he's trying!

Christian Sports Camp

At the end of the night all the kids (event the younger siblings) got to have popsicles! I think Ryan and Tara were thrilled to be able to participate in the fun.
David participated in the sports camp sponsered by his preschool this week. It ran from 5 - 8:15 p.m. Mon - Fri. We were worried he might be really tired, but he LOVED it. He came home singing songs and telling me bible stories.

On Friday night we were invited to come in at 7 p.m. to watch them play some of the games form the week. David's favorite games were Mr. Fox and the Rabbit & the Hole.

A lot of the kids in the camp were from David's preschool class. It was fun to see them all playing together again.

Yeah, Ryan pretty much got ripped off in this deal too. . . no camp for 2 year olds. This pretty much explains how he felt about watching David have fun playing the games. He was not a happy little man.

Sweethearts

We did a babysitting swap with our friends this week and watched their little girl, Tara, and baby boy, Nicholas, while David was at his evening sports camp. Tara was sooo sweet with Ryan. She loved giving him lots of hugs and kisses. (I love that they're sitting in that big heart together. Too cute!)

Splash Day at the Spikes

We went to see the Spikes play baseball during the day for their Splash Day waterfun. They had the fire truck there spraying the kids and lots of kiddie pools set up. Ryan wanted to touch all the pool and blow up toys. David wasn't as interested in getting splashed. He wanted to check out the players.
We hung out in our seat for a while and then found a table in the shade for some hotdogs and peanuts. We were able to watch the game from our picnic table. Much cooler.

Keeping Busy

Ryan has been keeping busy during David's swim lessons. He usually eats some snacks. He LOVES peanut butter and jelly - and he eats the crusts! (David still won't eat the crusts. Ryan tells me he's a big boy and wants to eat the crust. )
This is Ryan playing Lion. I really should have videotaped this so you could hear the ROAR! It's a good one.

Do I need an explanation for this game ??? (i'm not really sure i have one anyway)

Serious Swimmer

Things got serious in July for David's swimming. He took lessons Mon - Fri all four weeks this month. He loved it and he learned a ton. He really improved and he was happy to go everyday. I'm very thankful for the warm weather we've had and for a very patient little brother who was too young for lessons this year and had to sit and watch everyday for 45 minutes.
Serious jumping off the highest diving board. Very brave!
Not so serious airplane games with coach Scotty. David loved Scotty and he may have been the main reason David loved lessons this year.
