Christmas Tree Cutting

We went to Tannenbaum farms this year to cut down our Christmas Tree. The boys did great on the way to the tree, but David quickly lost interest once we got there and was ready to head back to the car. We ended up with a really pretty Concolor tree. The house smells great!
Ryan loved being outside. He walked around and touched the snow on all the trees. He didn't even mind his gloves getting snow on them.

Burn Them Out Birthday Party

We went to David's classmate's birthday party on Saturday afternoon. They had an obstacle course set up and a huge bounce house. The boys bounced, ran and jumped all morning. It was fun to see how much Ryan could do in the obstacle course. He made it the through most of it on his own. He just needed help with the big climb at the end and he was too afraid to go down the big slide by himself.
David didn't have any trouble with the course. He ran through over and over again.

Weekend with Grammy & Poppy

David got to spend his weekend with Grammy Jill and Poppy Dave. He had a fun day on Saturday at the Adventure Aquariam in Camden. He's standing in front of the shark tank in the picture below. He's been asking a lot of questions about sharks now. Today he wanted to know if sharks were "good guys or bad guys?" and if there will be any in the ocean this summer. :-)

Weekend Away

Paul and I went away for the weekend and Ryan spent some time with Aunt Shelby and Nana Sharon. My mom sent me this picture of him getting ready to go for a walk. He's wearing my mom's hat and David's sunglasses. He is a very cool guy.

Ryan is a Toddler!!!

We celebrated Ryan's 2nd Birthday on Thanksgiving Day with my family. His actual Birthday was on Friday, but we celebrated early while everyone was together for the holiday. He got his own little white cake with Elmo. He really loves Elmo right now so he was very excited to pull the character off the cake.
Ryan had lots of helpers to open his presents.

He blew his candles out very fast and took a bite out of the icing before we could stop him.

It was a long day for everyone and by pajama time I couldn't get a picture of all four of them with smiles. I think Kaitlyn is upset of David wearing her neck pillow in this picture.

All Day Playdate

We got to spend the whole day with Riley this past week. Both boys loved having her here to play with all day. We started our day at the Y watching David's swim lesson. Then all three kids ran around the gym for half an hour. They had races back and forth and then followed the black line around the gym. They were so excited to all be together. They never really tired themselves out!
After the Y we went to Barnes and Noble to play with trains and tell stories. David and Riley picked out books and Ryan and I sat on the benches and listened. Before each story David would say "Ladies and Gentlemen" and then begin "reading".
For lunch we made pizzas. They rolled out the dough and picked their toppings. They took their pizza making very seriously.

Fun Having a Brother

David LOVES Texas Roadhouse. He calls it the Peanut Restaurant because they let you shell your peanuts and drop them all over the floor. He loves it. We go there all the time, but on this trip David saw the saddle on his way to the restroom and wanted to go back to the table and get Ryan so they could both get on. It was really sweet. He pulled (literally) Ryan to the saddle so they could get on together.
