Pool Boys
One of my favorite pictures from the pool this summer. Love these silly boys! They were hanging out on the sunny chairs after lessons to warm up.

The Trampoline at Raystown
We love the trampoline at Raystown. We went for the day on Monday. We spent the whole day at the lake. We left at 7:30 p.m. and headed to the boys new favorite restaurant in Hesston, The Chinese Buffet. This was our second time making a stop at the buffet after Raystown, so now it is a tradition. Lots of energy burned swimming to the trampoline and then jumping. They devour tons of noodles at dinner.

Swim Lesson & Swim Meet
July days are spent at the pool. We start the day with swim team practice for David at 10. At 10:45 the boys have swim lessons. And then the pool opens at noon. The instructors are mostly the swim team coaches. Ryan really wants to be on swim team next year, so he loves calling his teachers his "coaches".
The waiting between practice, lesson and the pool opening is filled with playing on the hill, basketball and games on the iPad.
Meeting the instructors and hearing about their lessons for the day.
David's favorite part of swim lessons - the throw ins!
Today was a long day with a swim meet at the pool at 6:00 p.m. We had some thunderstorms at the beginning of the meet, so it was delayed by almost an hour. The warm up swim was very crowded and quick to get thing started fast.
Lots of wrestling on the hill with team mates.
The audience of Nana Sharon, Pappy Dave and Grammy Jill.
Go David!

4th of July Follies
Our pool holds games for the kids on the 4th of July. Ryan was VERY excited about participating in the fun this year. The first game was a "mud" eating contest. He raced over to the tables and grabbed the first seat. He tried so hard to finish his "mud" first. He was covered in chocolate pudding and smiles.
The next game was a musical beach blanket. Ryan was again thrilled and excited to play. He may have been too excited because the first time the music stopped he got raced around and couldn't get on a blanket fast enough. He was the first kid out of the game - lots of tears. :-(
Then it was on to the pool games. Swatting balls to the other side of the pool.
The race for coins at the bottom of the pool was wild. They were all looking for the prized golden coin. I think it was worth a dollar at the snack bar.
Very fun day! We ended the day at Beaver Stadium for dinner, cookies and fireworks.

Spikes Baseball
We made it to a Spikes baseball game on Tuesday night. The boys still love Ike the Spike and the blow up obstacle course. We spent innings 4 - 7 at the kids zone and then loaded up on ice cream and popcorn to watch the end of the game in our seats.

Spikes Baseball
We only made it to one Spikes baseball game this summer. The boys attention span for baseball is non-existent. They would only sit in their seats if they were eating something or being threatened with time out. It wasn't much fun in the seats. They preferred being in the Kid's Fun Zone. We spent the 3rd - 7th innings at the Fun Zone. Maybe David will show more interest next year if he's playing baseball next spring.
Rails to Trails
Another trip on Rails to Trails. We made lots of stops for rest. We saw more of the river and explored the trails that take you down to the water's edge.
We stopped for breaks at the benches along the way to drink some water and recharge. David did great on his bike and Ryan loved riding with Paul on the Trail-a-Bike. We headed to Main Street Cafe in Alexandria for dinner after our ride.
